Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham-Brown is known for spinning
tales of adventure, but when a murder takes place in her own
drawing-room, she finds live drama much harder to cope with, especially
as she suspects that the murderer might be her young stepdaughter,
Pippa.
Originally a play, this was novelised in 2000 by Charles Osborne.
Agatha Christie originally wrote the play for Margaret Lockwood. The
play premiered in London on 13th December 1954.
